[Text] I'm sorry that the gossip blog said all of that about you. You don't deserve that.
[Text] Thanks, Braxton. I just didn't expect them to be so mean - although I am aware that I can be quite stubborn on my dislike for growing up.
"At least let me buy you a drink before you leave."

♒ - Family headcanon.
Family is a very important element to Ethan. His grandparents died before he was born, but if the stories about his grandfather being crueler than his father were true, Ethan can only assume he was lucky he escaped the man’s clutches. Out of the ice box of assumptions and into the stove of reality, Braxton Wright was not perfect. He was molded into a politician at birth and he treated everything in life the same way: with a clear law established and a firm hand for what stood out of line. That firm hand normally landing on Ethan’s face when he so much as coughed at one of his father’s meetings. His mother, Mary Wright, did nothing but stood to the side like a perfect wife, smiling when a camera was ready and catechizing in a soft tone when in public and Ethan did something wrong. At home, Ethan was left to the watchful eye of the nanny because his parents were simply too busy. At fifteen when the news was thrown out that his girlfriend was pregnant, his father during the nine months forced fifteen missed years of molding into his head to turn him into a politician, forced him to run for Mayor, and then the day Jamie was born, kicked him out to fend for himself. He never spoke to either of his parents’ after that day, and Jessalyn (his girlfriend/wife)’s parents’ disowned her the moment they found out about the pregnancy. That left his wife and daughter to be his family— the two showing more love to him in four years than his parents could ever manage in countless lifetimes of fifteen years. He loves the two so fiercely that the loss of one (Jessalyn) sent him into a spiral of darkness and borderline madness. He functions, but losing his daughter and the last part of the ‘family’ he built for himself would conclusively break him.
☮ - Friendship headcanon.
Ethan was never one to keep friends growing up. He had the few acquaintances during school (and he called them acquaintances, even in first grade at only six), but he didn’t make his first friend until he was thirteen, a boy called Derek. Derek’s father worked under Ethan’s, and both men thought it wise to bring their sons’ into work on weekends. Ethan and Derek became close up until the day Jessalyn admitted she was pregnant, not only outing that but outing the fact that Ethan and her had been seeing each other. This ultimately breaking the friendship between Derek and Ethan because of Derek’s infatuation with Jessalyn.
▼ - Childhood headcanon.
From age four (his earliest memory) to age sixteen, Ethan can’t recall a single time one of his parents’ hugged him. It’s not a sad thought to Ethan, he has twisted it in his mind to them missing out on the bond between a child and parent.
∇ - Old age headcanon.
In Ethan’s old age, he’s known as two things: a retired mayor of Crystalmont and released convict for aggravated assault. After years of therapy, he was finally able to accept his wife’s death and mourn for her properly and for an acceptable amount of time. After that, he was released from prison on parole for good behavior.
☄ - Food headcanon.
Ethan’s nutritionist has him on a very strict diet. He eats three courses a day and one dessert. Each course of every day of the week is something different, but repeated. (Ie: What he has on Monday is what he has every Monday.) However, over the years, he has become a master at hiding things. Like the small bag of candy in his desk.
Feeling Cold || Cher & Brax
"You’re an idiot!," Her voice could barely be heard but she paid no heed to that fact, only resuming to let out cheery laughters. Her clothes started to become her second skin, clinging onto her body as she danced under the pouring rain, uncaring about the curious gazes that came from her neighbours’ windows. She was having fun, why let them stop her? The thunder cracked loudly above her and the sound was more like a melody to her ears, rather than bringing some sort of fright towards the little girl. Her eyes fell onto her friend’s figure, a full grin taking over her lips. "I’m so glad you joined me, Brax the Brat," Cher wasn’t alone; she’d never be when there was heavy rain. Her arm went looping around his own, a laugh being brought of her before she pushed at his shoulders, directly guiding him towards a puddle.
