Daniel: I'm just letting you know that mom and dad are coming here for a couple of nights. Dad has some meeting in California and mom is actually going with him so they will be staying here.

Daniel: Hey, Isley told me that you came by and made sure she was able to get in to see me. Thank you for doing that and for being here.

Dan: Hey, dad called me and said that he is flying in tonight so he can see how we're doing tomorrow.

Daniel: I thought of something to help.
Daniel had been struggling all day with depression. He couldn’t say he had ever really felt so down and helpless before, but this trip to the hospital was definitely marking its place. With everything going on with his health and his contusion seeming to not heal the way it was supposed to, his emotions were all over the place. His family had always been his biggest stressor in life but as he had to keep track of his blood pressure, he was now realizing just how much they really did push his nerves. He needed a break from them and he wasn’t sure how to go about that. He could tell the nurses he wanted no visitors but turning his family away seemed way worse than anything they were doing at the moment. Which is why when Drew walked into the room, he sighed and asked Isley for some privacy. She hadn’t wanted to leave his side, but he didn’t want to talk about his will or anything of the sort in front of her. “I thought I told you not to come,” Daniel said once she was out of the room.

Laying around was a mental killer for Daniel. There were many things that you could accuse him of being but lazy was never on the list of traits. It was driving him crazy. He was taking his daily walk at a park near his office and before he knew it, he found himself walking to the office instead. He walked in and straight to his desk, sighing as he sat on his leather computer chair. He missed being there so much. It had already been two weeks and he wasn’t sure he had ever had an actual break from work for this long. He turned his computer on and began to look through his emails, beginning to get engrossed in the work in front of him.
