Eldridge heard the thump coming from Cassidy's room. He paused and listened, waiting to hear if there were any following noises or sounds to indicate what happened. The silence was more concerning than anything. He approached her door and knocked. "Cass? You doing alright in there, hun'?"

Eldridge wasn't one to usually use humour as a coping mechanism but as he'd been started talking about one of the things that had happened to him younger, he remembered that it was one of the people he'd killed. She knew what he was, and he didn't feel any remorse for what he did, but that didn't stop any of the guilt and shame that came with it and so he was careful not to talk about it too much.
He chuckled to diffuse the feelings and wrapped an arm around her. "Good, things would be really awkward at this point otherwise with all of our trauma." He said.

Eldridge gave him an unamused look. He took Erik's shoulder into his hand. The manhandling was maybe a bit too rough when he did it. "Are you trying to get an infection?" He asked. While the other had been asleep, he'd finished cleaning and getting rid of the body. Against his desires, he ended up burning it in an attempt to get rid of anymore of Erik's evidence on her. He hated burning bodies.

Eldridge reached us and rubs the back of his head. His hand settles there as his gaze falls on the other while the bloodied weapon hangs by his side. “I really wish you hadn't seen that.”

He caught the survivor skulking around too close to the edge of their camp. Eldridge stalked along the tree line, watching him. When he was close enough to close in, the Butcher reached out and grabbed him by the hair on the back of his head. "Dangerous to be out on your own."

He was a little flushed too as the taller man looked down at her. It was a little different than when he was a killer... Someone who seemingly thrived in having a little bit of power and control of others and making them uncomfortable. Now he just liked being close to Gwen. "Did you want me to stop?" He asked. There was a smirk, but it seemed that he might have been genuine. He was a bit better about being respectful of her boundaries or making her uncomfortable even if he did still slip up sometimes.

Eldridge grabbed his shoulders in a steadying hold. "Sh, sh, you're okay." He said, trying to be comforting as he moved to cup Erik's face. It gave him a moment to exam him on the surface. "It doesn't look too bad; we just need to get you cleaned up." The bigger issue was how much DNA clean up there would have to be. Eldridge could see all the scratches and blood everywhere. It was a mess. They've have to be much more thorough this time.
Another thought wormed it's way into Eldridge's head and he let it slip out. "Fuck, you look so good covered in blood." Even if it was Erik's and not someone else's.
