Aleksei didn’t start fights; it wasn’t in him to do that. Though he had been trained as a fighter, had worked his body for years to make his father and his clan proud. The truth was, Alek didn’t enjoy the blood rush of a fight. It simply wasn’t something he would choose to do. But the half-dragon wanted to make Barris happy, the promise of being able to return home better than anything else. During their courtyard time, Alek had prepared himself, waiting and watching for an opponent that was powerful enough to please Barris but also someone he thought he could beat. When Glenn had walked into the yard Alek had immediately perked up. He looked intimidating but slim and small enough that he thought he actually had a chance. Standing, Alek hesitated as he approached the man. He opened his mouth as he looked at the Elite before pausing. He stared at the man for a long moment and then swung with all his strength, aiming a punch right for his jaw.
