The opening scene is a bit grainy and obscure; a stylistic choice to film the reflection of a young man at the counter of a coffee shop from the side mirror of the vehicle where the cameraman sat. The youth turns, double hoodied and tattered jeans-clad. Work boots on his feet and a full drink carrier in his hand. He steps outside the shop into the setting sun, handsome face slowly coming into view. He opens the driver’s side door, startled by the camera that greeted him.
Joonki’s dark brown eyes go wide and then narrow, clearly questioning the lack of discretion from his new coworker. “You’re filming already?” His words come out in a grumble that’s partly due to having to handle the precarious drink carrier on his own and drive them back to the motel in one piece. He’s silent for the entire ride and Gutak spitefully films his side profile, not considering it’s the type of footage that female watchers will gobble right up.
The sun’s just about gone when the camera follows Joonki into a little motel. He pauses, scowling as he holds the door for Gutak, minding his manners even if he feels disinclined to. Inside, the room looks a bit like a hurricane’s been through it but it’s mainly Bom trying to finalize wardrobe and remain productive while Subin naps. It’ll be a long night for all of them. One of many to come.
“She won’t get up,” a voice whines from the nearby bathroom. The camera pans to a small person-sized lump in the bed across the room. “I know,” Joonki answers, his tone warming substantially, a hint of aegyo lingering on the edge. He wants to be the one to wake her anyway. He sets the drinks down on the table, slips out of his outer hoodie and lays it on the nearest chair. He grabs one of the drinks and approaches the bed, setting it on the side table before sitting down beside that little bump in the covers.
“Noona~” he calls softly, peeling back the covers ever so slightly, just enough that a mess of dark hair appears. The brooding young man that’s been filmed until now seems nowhere to be found. Expression soft, bordering on adoration, Joonki smiles at the sleeping beauty in that motel bed. “It’s time to get up...time to unleash all of those horrible ghost puns on the world,” he teased, smile widening to a cheeky grin.
