Candy Apples and Razor Blades {Kuzco and Clopin’s Halloween Adventures}
@placebopuppytales
What was Halloween without a little bit of fun? Clopin had kept himself busy on something that he cared a lot about, the shelter in Peru that he had opened with Kuzco, and combined it together with the fun of Halloween. Which of course meant lots of different spooky type activities. This included stuff both on and around the holiday itself, but he had been so busy putting all of it together, he wasn’t able to take part until the actual day of Halloween.
The attractions that were put together, with most of the money donated by Clopin himself, money that he had made doing little shows for the public, were numerous. There were two haunted houses, one of which was for adults only and the other was much more family friendly but still had children coming out two shades paler than they had gone in, hay rides that lead to a 6 acre Corn maze with spooky skeletons made by the homeless and being sold as Halloween decorations to the public, Jack-O-Lantern carving, a Halloween themed play place for the kids, costumed contests and stalls selling apple and pumpkin pies from different small family bakeries - and of course, what event would be complete without some sort of raffle, and this one was huge. The candy raffles had baskets that were bigger than most of the kids there, just filled to the brim with the best chocolate and candy that money could buy. All of the money that was spent on the different attractions all went straight towards the shelter, and it was surely the best festival in Peru, Clopin was sure of it.
Clopin wasn’t the most organized person despite putting all of this together, so his costume did not fit in with Piper’s whatsoever. While the baby girl was dressed as a little mermaid, complete with a pacifier with an air bubble decoration, Clopin was dressed up as Jareth from Labyrinth. He had been a fan of David Bowie’s music, often spending all of his change to get Rebel Rebel to play on the jukeboxes, and once he finally sat down and watched Labyrinth, he knew that it was a costume that he was going to have to do.
He used his own hair, just adorning it with hair chalk and putting it in different decorations with hairspray, and was very proud that he didn’t need to use a sock to get the Bowie Bulge. “What should we hit up first?” Clopin grinned.
