Sam took pride on being a brave man. Come on, he did stupid things that most of people feared just because he wanted to have fun, so yeah, he wasn’t a scary kid that hid from troubles or dangerous situations. He looked actively for ghosts! When most people got scared with some little noises, Sam actually got excited thinking about having a paranormal encounter. So yeah, Sam didn’t fear anything. Fearless Sam, that was him, Chris probably called him like that a few times, or Sam dreamed about it, he wasn’t sure. The thing was, yes, he didn’t fear anything.
Hence, why he was hiding, covering his face, hoping she would look around, notice he wasn’t there and leave. He loved his sister, he really did, but she knew about the jail thing -thank you very much Jamie song for texting her- and he wasn’t sure if she was upset or not. And for a fearless guy, he had to admit that what he feared the most was the disappointment look on Lara’s face.
