Laurie had been artistically inclined his whole life, over multiple different forms, but the one he was perhaps the most passionate about was music. He’d been singing, playing the guitar and piano since as long as he could remember, something his adoptive parents had been happy to encourage. Anything to keep him busy and not pulling his usual stunts. However, he’d kept his musical inclination on the down-low mostly. He wrote his songs but never performed them for anyone but his roommate or family, and even then it was only because they were living wherever he was. The only other exception to that was a newer one, Zachary. They had met one night at the bar, bonding over a mutual love for one of the songs that came on. Conversation had revealed that both of them were “undercover” musicians, and the friendship had formed naturally. They now held regular ‘jam sessions’, like today, whenever both of them happened to be free. “Hey, man, come on in! Wylie is working so we can hang out in the living room without bothering anyone.” he said after opening the door, holding it open and slipping out of the way so he could enter “I made tea, too. Milk and sugar?”
