He had come out to the bar as a DISTRACTION from everyday life. It wasn’t easy for Cook to escape from it all. Getting away was getting harder and harder, but he had managed it tonight. His fingers toy with the buttons at the top of his shirt, doing up a few that had come undone on the walk over here. When he's finished his eyes scan his surroundings momentarily. It doesn’t take him long to find something that interested him. Cook lets out a BOOMING laugh, shaking his head and running his fingers through tufts of brown hair. He was watching in amusement as the blonde at the bar easily told off the bartender. Unable to help himself he closed his mouth and sauntered up to the counter, pulling himself onto the stool beside her. ❝ Look, mate, I don’t think you should argue with her anymore. It’s OBVIOUS she could wipe the floor with you. So why don’t you bring us two beers on me and fuck off. Yeah?❞

His hands were clasping a controller for the game console, and he turned his body a bit every which way his vehicle turned. Road Trip

Cook had pulled over about 45 minutes ago. It was late now-about 3am. He’d been driving for 12 hours and he was exhausted. He rolls down the window of the van-lighting a cigarette and letting the smoke fill his lungs. He held it in-exhaling after several moments.

It was beautiful here-she was beautiful...His mind wanders to Effy who had gone to sleep a few hours earlier. He hadn’t complained-she was tired and he didn’t mind the driving. When he hears someone stir he turns his head.
