the male peeked his head out around the corner as he heard the small bell ding out front. he chuckled, smile on his lips as he stepped out. “harps, hey! welcome in! you come to grab something to eat or were you just wanting to chill here for a bit?” he finished wiping his hands off with a hand towel before slinging it over his shoulder. “you doing okay?”

“Oh hey,” Zara said in absolute hopes that it didn’t so awkward aloud as it did in her head. Zara had been avoiding Harper since everything had happened which hadn’t been that hard since she had work and the two would go a while without hanging out but she knew it couldn’t last long since they lived in the same building after all. “I was just headed to my flat. I’ve got to talk to my brother,” she explained as she looked towards the hallway that would lead to her flat. She couldn’t keep eye contact with her friend. Not with everything she had done. Zara couldn’t tell Harper what had happened; the words just wouldn’t come out so she decided to act as if nothing had even happened and that all was normal. “I’ll see you later, yeah?” Zara said as she tried to end the conversation before Harper could say anything because she couldn’t pretend like she hadn’t done what she had done and Harper would see through her facade soon enough. They had been friends for almost ten years now.

Maggie had finally had enough. She’d given Harper plenty of time to figure her shit out but this was getting ridiculous. When Maggie was pregnant she gave herself a few days to fall off the face of the earth but then picked herself back up. Meanwhile, Harper didn’t even know for certain that she was pregnant and it was already causing her stress. Of course, no one had known Maggie was pregnant. So Maggie decided if Harper couldn’t sort herself out, Maggie would do it for her. The brunette made her way to Harper’s room, knocking but not waiting for an answer as she shoved the door open. “Let’s go,” she announced firmly.
