Closed for @lcveliess Jenny This portion of the maze is packed so densely with corn stalks that it hardly seems like a path but there’s nowhere else to go. It’s impossible to move without feeling the plant life push into them, and they tower high, nearly blocking out the sun. Just making space to breathe makes it feel like they start pushing closer, like the plant life is caving in around those in it, trying to suffocate them.

MaoMao was trying to get out but everywhere she went it was just corn. It was akin to the plant being a mutant crop vine hybrid. The adminstrator could barely see the light. MaoMao tried pushing against it until she accidently grabbed a hand. MaoMao held the hand briefly before letting go. "Sorry."MaoMao said between short breaths. The adminstrator was too stubborn to show weakness "I'm trying to find my way out." She looked at Jenny trying to figure out whether she was friend or foe.

Bridgette succumbed yet again to the pretty little pink dust that she was trying so hard to stop using. The temptation was too strong after the grueling week she’d had. Work was boring and draining and she figured maybe if she had just a little bit of Pixie Dust, then it’d help her relax. That combined with some alcoholic cocktails should definitely have taken the edge off things. And then, sometimes, on rare occasions, the mixture of Pixie Dust and partying helped her make some of her best artwork. This kind of art was different from her usual design and computer graphics artwork, but something far more personal that she never showed anyone and would never show anyone.

Bridgette stumbled out of the back of the club, staring at her phone, trying to focus on the text her friend sent her. She thought it said to meet her in the back and her mind immediately told her it meant outside in the alley way. As she was spinning around slowly, trying to figure out where she was, a man meandered over in her direction. “Are you lost? Do you need some help?” he asked, flashing his perfectly straight teeth. Bridgette squinted as she lights from the city behind the man seemed to shine too bright. “Oh no, I was just looking for my friends,” she said, her speech slurring slightly. “Why don’t I help you look for them?” the man replied, draping an arm over her shoulder. Bridgette tried to walk away, insisting that she could look for them herself and go back into the club, but the man slowly formed an iron grip. “Hey! Come on, let me go. I’m just going to go back inside. I don’t need your help,” Bridgette spat.

the light of day

-the first thing jenny notices when she awakes is just how cold she is, her make-shift blanket offering no insulation at all. in fact the only warmth she can feel is coming from that of the body laid intertwined with hers-- a body she hasn’t awoken next to before. hardly daring to open her eyes she does so with hesitation, blinking at the light before the world comes clear and she sees jax’s still sleeping face in front of hers. it shouldn’t have made her smile; he shouldn’t have made her smile. in fact as she remembered every last intimate detail of the night before she was vividly aware that she should be feeling the dreaded emotions of guilt and disgust and regret, but none of these feelings come. instead jenny is, for the first time in her memory, perfectly happy with where she is. at first she debates letting him sleep, but after a few moments of watching him she leans forward and presses a soft kiss to the corner of his lips, at the same time rubbing her legs against his in a bid to warm them up- ... Morning.

coffee shop blues

-after the night she’d had, all jenny could really think about was going home and crawling into bed. seeing bobby galavant around with random girls was no strange sight to her; in fact it was becoming rather a regular one. but as always she told herself that he was just trying to boost the profile of the band, and that even as she sat there in the coffee shop where he insisted they meet after the gig, and where he was now nowhere to be seen he was doing just that. in a bid to not be the paranoid girlfriend, she tried to distract herself by actually engaging in conversation with the people she’s come out with, turning her attention to the person by her side who just happens to be jax, and who for reasons she’d rather not think about she’s been avoiding since halloween- ...Y’looked good up there tonight y’know. All of you, I mean. The band.
