Thomas went for a walk, such a strange yet simple thing to be able to do and know that there is no way he could get into trouble for it. His hand was stuffed into his pockets enjoying the sun on his back as he started walking toward the university, knowing that he would have to talk to her about all of this. But in the mean time, he enjoyed the weather and the feeling of being free for the first time in years. And then he saw Kira, the woman who nearly had him instead of Annette. He didn’t know what would have happened, but he was pretty damn sure she wouldn’t have let him walk around. He thought about ducking out of the way, but she seemed angry yesterday. If she was angry at him, she could take it out on him later, when he inevitably returned to the House. She told him she always got what she wanted and he doubted his mini vacation would stop that. With a smile on his face, he waved at her, his iPad in his hands as he typed out, “Hello!”
