it has to be about a good year or so since saerin has gotten a good night’s rest, && it also had to be about a good year or so since she’s last been in a relationship. or even considered being in one. the first year of her trainee life was spent doing the bare minimum of what she had to do to keep her contract, because the girl knew that once it was over && that expiration date came up, she’d be out of there && back to her normal life before anyone could stop her. but in the span of a few months, so many things had changed. including her love life as well, && even more so when she broke things off with her ( older, mind you ) boyfriend at the time so she could pursue her dreams of becoming an idol.
to put it simply, it was a messy breakup.
her cute girlfriend status had been lost as soon as she brought up the subject of breaking up, && soon she was saying bye bye to her loving boyfriend && hello to endless days of training in the practice rooms. the next two years or so were spent practicing her ass off, climbing up the trainee ranks && catching all her trainers’ && coaches’ eyes. dancing && singing late into the night to distract herself from thinking about her ex all became worth it in the end, because now saerin was a top candidate for the next girl group the company would be debuting. nothing stopped her before, && nothing ever will.
by now, jay walker was nothing more than a distant memory. she no longer thinks about him before going to bed, the love songs that her itunes shuffle to no longer remind her of him, && he’s certainly not someone she expects to see again anytime soon. so, you can definitely imagine her surprise when she opened the door that evening to only be greeted by that someone.
with furrowed eyebrows && a look of confusion on her face, saerin looked at the male before her. ❛ what --- what are you doing here ?? ❜
