Driving down the street outside of the house he had been sneaking into for years, Jet quickly turned out his headlights and parked a few houses down. After a quick, ‘i’m here’ text he drummed his thumbs against the wheel and waited as patiently as he possibly could for the girl to pop up into view. “What took you so long? Sitting in the uncomfortable wooden chair next to the brunette, Jet leaned his elbow against the table and tried to focus on what the girl was attempting to drill into his head but it was no use. The only thing he really understood after their little study session in the library was that her eyes were the most beautiful green and the lip gloss that adorned her lips made it impossible to think about anything else. “...I’m sorry, can you repeat that? I...wasn’t listening,” Jet came clean with a guilty smile as he tapped his pencil against the paper.

It was another day when Gen began to polish the wind chimes outside. It was part of the new promotion at the craft store. She took a step back and looked at the instrument. 

“Good enough,” Gen muttered to herself. The weariness in her voice evident. She was there since morning and it showed. Gen turned around when she realized she wasn’t alone. She gave a small yet forced smile. 

“Welcome to Darts and Crafts where we aim for the best prices. How can I assist you.”
