RENDERING IS HARD ONG--
Dee, Dee, with Sting and Sienna on my mind I actually decided to go and look up what animals could represent them and what I found for Sting made me laugh but first I want to tell you about what I found for Sienna. With how independent she is and her general demeanour, I figured she’d be a cat and I was indeed able to find one that really fit her: the Cymric cat. The website that I found the possible cat types on had this to say: ‘This loyal companion makes a decent family pet. They are exceptionally protective and territorial. Some are even described as growling similarly to dogs. They don’t like their personal space being invaded, which can be an issue with children. Younger cats who are exposed to children tend to do fine, however. Cymrics are known for being energetic and playful. These cats can also be somewhat of escape artists and are known for their ability to open doors. Bred initially as mousers, Cymric cats still possess their hunting instincts and will growl threateningly or attack when they sense anything out of the ordinary. When there is no danger, the feline is as cool as a cucumber and never gets upset about anything. Despite their tranquil nature, the Cymric is quite active. It is very playful and will follow you around the house. When relaxing, it will nap peacefully on your lap or curl up nearby, where it can keep an eye on you. A Cymric is an intelligent cat that is always ready to learn new tricks. You can teach them to fetch and come, and they will quickly learn how to open doors with their paws. If you set boundaries, they will be willing to accept your wishes, especially if you offer them an acceptable alternative.’ And it truly is so her 😭 Maybe not every sentence but enough for me to happily connect her to that animal.
And then yeah, with Sting I just looked up protective dog types that also have loads of energy. I found a few but after reading about one type on various websites, I came to the conclusion that he’s a boxer and one website had me laughing so much because so much of the description was just him. I’ll give you the things I saved from the various websites here though: ‘Boxers might be clowns with their families, but don’t let the goofiness fool you. They’re incredibly protective and will not hesitate to defend their loved ones. Their strong build, high energy, and fearless nature make them great watchdogs. They’re especially gentle with kids, often forming a strong bond and watching over them like a canine sibling.’
‘Boxers are intelligent, high-energy, playful dogs that like to stay busy. Their temperament reflects their breeding. They prefer to be in the company of their owners and are loyal pets that will fiercely guard their family and home against strangers. Few boxers bark excessively. If a boxer barks, chances are there is a good reason. Many boxers are vocal, however, and make a growling noise that's really just the dog's way of talking.
‘Boxers tend to be silly, playful dogs who act like puppies for much of their lives. They are clownish dogs who seem to take particular delight in making their human family laugh at their antics.’
The last short paragraph is from a website that had a decent amount of text about the temperament of boxers but that one really stood out because of how absolutely Sting it is that I had to save it. I’ll send the final link to you though.

Aww, I loved reading this (over and over again, actually!!) I always find it so fun when people think of little things like this both for the canon characters but especially for their OCs!! And I learned so much from this post, let me tell you. I had to go look up what a Cymric cat was, to be honest, and they’re so fluffy and big and pretty and I love them 😍 I’m such a cat person and I love that it’s a cat/dog relationship between the two. I feel like I learned so much about Sienna reading this! And I so agree with your view on Sting and definitely feel a boxer fits him…though I could be biased as I love boxers and think they’re such fun, loving dogs when raised right! I loved getting the chance to learn more about them too! Again, thanks so much for sending this in and I’m so excited to share this with the rest of my lovely readers 😊
So I finally, finally after all this time have written the chapter in which Miiko finds out that Sumiko now knows about the fact that her dad killed a guy. And with that, I’ll first respond to your old chatter in order. What went down that resulted in Haruki killing a guy is a lot. It’s one of my longest arcs that starts, like properly starts at chapter 177 and ends at chapter 216. Like there are also other smaller plot points between them but yeah, it’s mainly focused on the angst and then everything that came from it. So yeah, totally understand that you want to wait even though yeah, I really love it because it truly does show what Haruki is willing to do for those he loves and yeah, how he talks to the guy he ends up killing is also really great (quote that will forever be one of my faves: “Or hell. Hell’s better. We’re a match made in hell. I’m the demon that’ll be the cause for your death. Sounds about right, doesn’t it?” He has no chill and I love him for it 😭) . And now I can tell you that Miiko was initially shocked but mainly worried, but about her daughter and husband, not about others potentially finding out. She had a small moment where she comforted Sumiko before the girl went to deal with her emotions by herself and then yeah, Haruki’s anxiety and guilt just made that he couldn’t go further than just inside the house so she also helped him through his emotions. His mental health his in shambles and of course it’s all thanks to me (and genetics kind of because yeah, he inherited his anxiety from his mum; though with him in social anxiety while she has general anxiety) but I just couldn’t stop writing all the plot and angst. But yeah, after a huge angst plot point, he did start going to therapy and it is probably helping, even though it will still take time. I’m not sure whether I’ll truly turn it into a horse-racing scene or will just write a scene that takes place after Sumiko’s won one of the medals. Because yeah, obviously everyone from her family (grandparents included) will be there and she’d just want to spend time with them and celebrate with them over anything else. Thank you though 😊 And true. And sounds good 😊

I’m going to admit that my memory sucks currently and I can’t remember everything I said in the admin chatter you’re referring to. I’m so sorry!! But know that I was overjoyed to read this anyway!! If anything, it’s only made me more curious and interested in going and reading everything for myself (at some point I will!!!) I hope the writing of the chapter went well and the angst came out good but not so good that it hurt its creator! I loved hearing the little details here and it’s really interesting that it is such a long arc in the story! Thank you so, so much for sharing this. As always, hearing about your OCs always brightens my day 😊 I’m so curious as to how Haruki gets away with it all too. Like this leaves me with so many more questions and I loved all the little facts! Again, thanks so much for sending this in 😊
