C-82 Packet a twin-engine, twin-boom cargo aircraft designed and built by Fairchild Aircraft. It was used briefly by the United States Army Air Forces and the successor United States Air Force following World War II.

Happy 80th First Flight anniversary to the Fairchild C-82 Packet, a twin-boom cargo aircraft!

Though it was relatively unsuccessful, its design would be further developed into the C-119 Flying Boxcar, which saw considerable use during the Korean War.
