*walks into the shop with a big soft blanket and goes over to the cornys*here ya go and i love all of ya'lls puns thow some can be "corny"
*The Cornies move towards the big soft blanket like a flock of migrating birds- single-mindedly and occasionally running into things. They can’t tear their eyelights away from the wonder and glory of it. And once you make a joke about their puns being “corny”? They chuckle in unison and curl up under the blanket with you for more awful puns and some high-quality snake-y snuggles.
Hay it me again and i was wondering if it was ok if i could maby see if i could adopt a bitty that Morpheus (coral) got along with
*Morpheus has been dropping hints about going back to the shop since you first adopted him. He doesn’t want to be returned, he assured you of that, but he won’t exactly admit his actual reason. You have a pretty good guess though.
*When you arrive at the shop, Morpheus makes a beeline (a snakeline?) for a Honey Bo enclosure. Aww, sweet, Morpheus had a Honey Bo friend! Morpheus irritably taps at a hollowed out log with a Honey Bo tail sticking out of it. The tail flicks, slapping Morpheus lightly on the nose. Morpheus bites the tail and much hissing ensues. Hmm, Morpheus and his Honey friend don’t seem to get along all that well…
*While Morpheus and the Honey Bo squabble, a smaller lamia pops out of the other end of the log. You see Morpheus’s face light up before he looks away, pretending to be very interested in something other than the Pygmy who is zipping towards him, chirping excitedly. The Pygmy does a little leap and collides with Morpheus, who can’t help catching him. The Pygmy gives Morpheus a small snake smooch on his blushing cheek, and Morpheus hugs him a moment before setting him down.
*The Honey Bo peeks out of the log and stares at you a moment before nodding his approval.Morpheus points at the Pygmy, who is now looking at you with bright starry eyes. “Adopt!” demands Morpheus, whose tail, you notice, is very slightly entwined with the Pygmy’s. You’re more than happy to oblige.
*walls in with a bag fullof books and takes one out* i have some pun books for the cornys and some more books for the kings i'll read to them if they want.
*The Corny lamias actually wake up and slither over to check out the pun books. You see them pointing and hissing excitedly as they flip through the pages. This is probably the most enthusiastic they’ve ever been about anything! They drag the pun book under the fridge where they like to hang out. Soon you hear many lamia giggles and one long-suffering Grillby bitty sigh.
*The Kings pick you up and carry you to the meet and greet area. Waffle coils his tail to make you a comfortable seat and the other Kings settle in around him to listen to you read. Some of the smaller ones even climb into your lap. You see little Syrup bapping Waffle on the head and pointing to you. Waffle picks Syrup up and carefully sets him on your shoulder so that he has the best vantage point to listen and follow along.
If there are any heart broken corals big or small I'll adopt them
*Vexy waves you into the shop. You were just stopping by to pay a visit, but she explains they have a special case going on at the moment. She points behind the desk, where the noise of rustling papers can be heard. You peer over the counter to see what’s going on. A Coral is busily shredding what seems like every piece of paper he can reach, mostly adoption forms that haven’t been filled out yet. His tail lashes and he hisses angrily, but you can see tears running down his face.
*You ask Vex what happened and find out that he was adopted a week ago, but the new owner’s significant other had hated him, demanding they return him and get a “real pet.” The poor Coral was heart-broken and has been tearing things up in the shop and crying ever since.
*The Coral hisses, slapping your hands away before breaking into fresh sobs. You reach out again, and he very slowly “falls” into your hands. He puts up a feeble struggle as you lift him up to your face. You ask if he wants to go home with you. He sniffles and paws away the tears from his eyes, pretending to ignore you. He gives a barely perceptible nod.
*You have a feeling it’s going to be rough going, but it’s painfully obvious this little guy (even though he is a full-size Coral at three feet long) desperately needs some love after being rejected so harshly.
