Portrait of a naval officer leaning on a sword, a naval skirmisch beyond, by Arthur William Devis (British, 1763–1822)
This unfortunately somewhat blurred picture shows a Midshipman ashore. An older man in his 20s with elaborately embroidered trousers in the thigh area. In the background a Naval battle is shown. What is difficult to make out, however, is that this is a bombardment of a city, which makes the bombardment of Copenhagen in 1807 a possibility. Who the young man here is, however, is unfortunately unknown.

A commemorative automaton watch for the Battle of Trafalgar 1805 (Or not, because to me the sinking ship at the bottom looks like a Dutch ship, which would make it more likely to be a battle from the 17th century) with three rotating ships-of-the-line in the middle, by William Claughan, c. 1810
