Photo detectives: Do you know of any additional 19th century copies of this very specific portrait of Kit Carson? We think this image might have been taken in Albuquerque in the last half of 1866 or first half of 1867. A couple more good examples might help confirm the date and photographer. Around three cdvs have come up for sale online in the past couple of years, and the British Museum also has a copy. Do you know of others, in any size, that are elsewhere or, especially, not online at all? Additionally, larger images might be important too. For example, there may have been a painted version of this portrait last known to be in eastern New Mexico, either with the masonic lodge in Las Vegas or at Philmont (maybe or maybe not in the Rayado museum).
