She'd been avoiding him. Ever since she had first met him and realized that he didn't have any idea as to who he or Ember was to him. It was silently breaking her heart and one of the only secrets she'd harbored from Jesse as much as it pained her to. After all of the chaos that had just ensued, however, she could no longer keep it to herself. He deserved to know, needed to know. Not just who she and Ember were but what he is. "Harrison," Skyla greets feebly. "I don't know if you remember me. I'm, uh, I'm Jesse's fiance, Skyla Fairlight."

“look at you having all the good customer service. you really should get a raise for the bullshit that you have to deal with. i am serious, i dont know how you do it.” he had repeated once more. “i would have already slapped numerous people and cussed out the rest from the way you talk.” the man laughed. “yeah, you might as well relax and just take care of it tomorrow. not like anything can be done anyways tonight if someone is fucked up.” he suggested doing his best to play it off. though he felt like his face was a dead giveaway. he gave another nervous laugh, great now he was going to have to come up with some lie about the conversation with his mom. “nothing really, she just was checking in.. seeing how we were and if we needed anything.” he lied as he watched her make herself comfortable across him. “nope, just here watching...” he looked up to see what the tv was even on. “uh..the notebook?” he was a little confused before saying it against with a little more confidence. “the notebook.. love this movie.” he said to sell it.

harrison looked at the room and let out a sigh. “right.. we were together when this trip was booked.” the man admitted remembering that all the plans they had once made were made under the assumption that they were still a happy couple. “i can go back down there and ask if they have another room with two beds but.. i already heard the man turn down guest about being full already.” he admitted.

harrison had always thought that the two of them would get married. then again they were that power couple that was idolized on television. that cheesy, romantic, cute little perfect couple that everyone around them wished they could be. it seemed like such a long time ago. they both graduated and went off to colleges across the states. within the first year the two had broken up and both had seemed to move on so much faster. fast forward ten years later harrison was going through his own new shit storm of a relationship. his soon to be ex wife was drunk and flirting on his old football coach, it was such a embarrassment that harrison had to step outside for some fresh air. “wow-” was all he said when his eyes laid on them. ten years, ten long years and they still looked just as perfect as they did from the moment they met. “i didnt know you were coming.” was all he said softly.

“Welcome to Blue River Acres,” Darcy greets, hands falling atop her 7 year old daughter’s shoulders. “I’m Darcy and these are my kids, Ryder and Annabelle. Here at Blue River Acres we have 4.5 acres of land that house this house, a guest house, and a stable with caretakers quarters. Each room has its own thermostat so feel free to adjust the ac to your liking. The master and two bedrooms on either side of it are off limits for obvious reasons but there are 6 other rooms available for your choosing. The guest house has some arcade games, a small stage for karaoke and if you play an instrument, and a pool table. There are 3 suites in the guest house so if any of you want to crash over there, feel free. Both this house and the guest house will be fully stocked at all times. There’s a fire pit, a koi pond with a waterfall, and an oversized spa or hot tub as some prefer to call it. The stables currently house six horses soon to be eight as we have a mare currently pregnant with twins, if anyone would like to give horseback riding a go I’m more than happy to show you the ropes, figuratively and literally. Within the stables is a caretakers quarters with a kitchen so someone can stay there, as well as an office, which is off limits, and a gym. Any questions?”

"fuck.. shit.." this had to be one of the top two most embarrassing times in harrison's life. he wouldn't think twice about opening up her mail for her and sending her a picture or texting her letting her know something arrived. however when he had ripped open the package he didn't expect to find what he did. buried under the craft paper sat the cutest little vibrator. the man's cheeks burned as he nearly crushed the box with the force he used to shut it back. why didn't he just leave this one alone? why didn't he read the front of the box? instead he had dove head first right into it only to be met with embarrassment.

looking down at his phone he was relieved that he still had about half an hour before sutton had arrived back to their apartment they shared. that gave him plenty of time to make this right. maybe if he was skilled enough she wouldn't have even noticed he opened it. however it was like god herself was playing a cruel joke on harrison because the only tape there was there was scotch tape. it was far from fucking packaging tape but he was going to try his hardest to make it work. finally after 25 minutes of hard work and a whole role of the tiny tape he had shoved the package in her room with her mail in hopes she wouldnt notice the obvious packaging job.

why clem had given him another chance was beyond him. he had talked his way out of a lot of things but he really was sure he had met his match with her. he was grateful regardless that she had given in. when he had told her it would be easier if she had just told him he couldnt help but laugh at her facial expression. "i should have known you would never make another easy for me." he said playfully. "ouch, i thought we had moved on from what i did?" he questioned. "i'm sorry, really. how about we get some dinner and i rub your feet or something? we can watch a movie of your choice even if it is something i hate." he sighed. "i can think of plenty, just not any i am sure you would go for right now."
