She thinks he’s kind of ... FUNNY.    In the sort of way she can’t with ease explain, but she finds him interesting enough to follow around.  His house is full of books -- so many books.  She can’t think of a time she’s ever seen this many books !   She knows how to read -- a fact that, had living in the middle of a swamp and making medicinal poultices not labeled her family as WITCHES, probably would have done it.   

She runs her fingers along the spines and recites the titles to herself ... maybe later, when everyone’s asleep, it will be safe to lift them, leaf through the pages and read for a while.  Curiosity made her follow him for no particular REASON, an inexorable draw she can’t place name to -- but the books are enough reason to hang around for a bit.   She hasn’t heard of most of these titles ... how many years has it been ?  The house itself seems so OLD !

          “and the AWARD for shortest stay goes to....” this room was just given to her, and here she found herself packing it all up. she didn’t know WHERE she was going but she knew she had to go. the resistance would find out her history whenever her dad wanted to pop up and she’d rather leave before he could find her. she hears footsteps headed to her open doorway before they could even turn the corner, and when she inhales the familiar scent, her jaw clenches. there was a time where he’d make her happy just by being in the same city as her, but she wanted nothing to do with him, even if he didn’t know why she was angry. “go away.”

  " you’re doing that thing again. ” hope had been dancing and whispering with roman until she had seen her mother, out of the corner of her eye, attempting to talk her father down. she out of all people knew what he looked like when angry, so it wasn’t long before she told roman she’d be right back and followed klaus up the staircase of the house, coming to a stop at the balcony that gave clear view of the house. of their guests. “ helicopter parenting. not sure if it’s because of roman or the sight of me dancing with a boy in general. ”
