NAME: theldra bell. EYE COLOUR: a bright, deep blue, almost unsettling in how saturated of a color it is. HAIR STYLE / COLOUR:  cornflower blue (if you want to be exact), with some violet tones mixed in. shoulder length and layered, and hides her right eye. HEIGHT:  5′09″ CLOTHING STYLE:  robes & heavy coats are her most predominant choice. theldra wears expensive fabrics and favors neutral colors. underneath her robes, she tends to wear more form fitting clothing that allows for ease of movement. rarely will you catch her in short sleeves. BEST PHYSICAL FEATURE: eyes, without question.  second would be hands, as long as you ignore her nails.

originally theldra was gonna be a red mage b/c i love their aesthetic but as i developed her, it just didn’t fit anymore and after some thinking: theldra starts off as a thaumaturge, grows into a black mage, but come shadowbringers, would begin shifting towards summoning the primals she’s previously faced. i see her collecting essences and bits and pieces of primals as is, and eventually through her studying, she teaches herself to draw upon their power and becomes a summoner.

personal motives and ambitions / theldra

i was having a hard time for a while figuring out why theldra joined the scions and then why she decided to stay with them. part of it is she sees them as a way to further her own goals. she takes an interest in primals and i think begins keeping personal written records of them. possibly before even meeting any of the current scions.

as a non-wol, she’s pretty upfront about this. she’s not here because she’s a hero or trying to be one. she’s not looking to truly save anyone. she just wants to understand aether, magic, and powerful things. she’s a good researcher and lacks malicious intentions, even if her methods themselves can be questionable.

eventually, she does realize maybe she does want to be regarded as a good person. even more so as wol, theldra starts feeling like she wants to be someone other people admire and look up to and she wants to do the right thing.

theldra would still willingly become a vessel for a primal, given the chance. she places a lot of value on power and fears being weak or less than. having it drilled into her from a young age that her worth was based on her abilities, theldra strives to be as strong as possible. if she’s powerful, nobody can look down on her and she won’t need to rely on anyone else.

she also identifies a lot of her worth as being tied in with magic, which is why she studies it so fervently.

dumb things i think about:

theldra actually schedules time to do her makeup. i feel like she’s so rarely seen without it, people don’t realize she actually has to wake up every morning and put it on. her make up is basically just: eyeshadow, lipstick, probably some blush because she knows she looks like death is waiting for her without it.

it’s also weird when u consider that for someone so practical and efficient, she takes the time to do something as well, impractical as her makeup. but it makes sense!! because theldra is very concerned about her appearance and how others perceive her. looking well dressed and put together matters a lot to her. just don’t look at her nails

speaking of nails she wears gloves like all the time. i see her being weird about touching things with her bare hands. and also you don’t need to see her bitten and chewed on nails.

when she isn’t styled up, she does that anime thing where she pins her bangs back over the center of her head. u know the thing right. other times she pins them off to the side.

theldra’s initial reaction to anyone who is nice to her is /doubt.

she hates being praised or complimented, partially because she has no idea how to respond in a way that doesn’t come off as rude. but also because she rarely believes it, thinks there’s some sort of catch, or there’s something else they’re not saying. you can compliment her abilities and that’s about it. and even then she’ll probably /doubt.

people who are initially nice to her and offer her any sort of compliment/praise immediately go on her “i do not like them and i do not want to engage” list. she is very easily overwhelmed.

cooking & food headcanons

eleazar is a really good cook!! he even knows how to bake. unfortunately, most of his cooking & favorite meals also involves fish so if u want him to cook for you, i hope you enjoy fish. it's something he finds relaxing and he enjoys making meals for other people.

theldra is not a great cook. she's learned more since traveling, but usually prefers to buy from vendors. it's not something she particularly enjoys doing and would rather avoid. she is, at least, very good at making tea, and likes to pick up tea from various places on her travels. some would say she has too much.

olixia isn't good at cooking and her diet is like, 90% raw fruits and vegetables with some bread and eggs thrown in. she's genuinely not good at cooking and will always over or under season things assuming she doesn't burn them. oli is the type to burn water. the only exception to this is she can make bread & some very simple sweets. she doesn't eat meat, but since traveling, has become willing to eat seafood and eggs.
