Liz’s best friend was a giant grumpy man. A giant grumpy man who could snap her in half like a toothpick if he wanted to, which meant that even if he never said it he did like her. Liz wagered that he liked her a lot and one day she was going to get him to say it, even if she had to slip a truth serum into his coffee. But today wasn’t the day for that. Asher was finally in the building and if Liz didn’t visit him and completely distract him from whatever he was doing then what kind of a friend was she?
She breezed into Apollyon’s staff kitchen, humming along to the song stuck in her head when she spotted her friend, instantly brightening up at the sight of him. “Asher Asher Asher Asher Asher!” Liz sang, floating up onto the table so she could wrap her arms around him from behind, resting her chin on his head. “You know it’s rude to come into work and not come to my desk. I know you know where it is because I showed you and you said you didn’t care but I know you have an elephant brain as well as your dick so you definitely remember where it is. And also I’m having girl troubles and I need you to help me. Not in a murder way though.”
