Jessie & Fred, C.nick, 2017, Charcoal, 9” X 12”
This has just gone to its new home. The person loved it and was very sweet over it. It's a great feeling knowing that your work touches others. It's the best thing about this really, well that and finally mastering a skill you've done a thousand times over. #perfectionist
Friday’s Finished Piece:

This is what it looks like finished. I love how her eyes turned out!
Friday’s Finished Piece:
Grace, C.nick, 2016, Coloured Pencils, 5.5. X 8.5″
I need to get a scan of this because the hair is more golden in real life than this pic shows. This is a lot of layering, mainly with blue, purple and peach, but also with a Terra Cotta brown here and there. I eventually said ‘to heck with it!’ and brought out the alcohol. The isopropyl alcohol that is. It worked fine, but I do wonder if it does anything to the drawing, you know, does it harm it in any way. Has anyone used alcohol with coloured pencils? How are they over time?
Work in Progress Wednesday:
Grace (work in progress), C.nick, 2016, Coloured Pencil, 5.5. X 8.5″
The layering process has begun!
