Oliver had been walking around the estate he called home. He’d returned from another bachelor party for one of his friends from university. Since the start of his friends getting married and now some of them are parents themselves, his own mother and father have been really pushing for him to take that next step in life. They both had their sights on someone in particular, someone that has been around him for his entire life.
His father refers to her as ‘the James girl’, his mother corrects him by saying “her name is Corinne”. Though he calls her 'Jamie’ a reference to the movie She’s All That. A memory from when they were in middle school, where she was obsessed with the movie, though truthfully, he remembers her being pretty in elementary and middle school, though when the separated for high school and university. The next time he saw her, she’d changed so much. She was beautiful, it was odd, she had the same features, though there was something so effortless and mature about her and seeing her standing in the drawing room of his parents estate, he thoughts remained the same.
With a smirk on his face, he walked through the drawing room door. “Jamie” he called in the smooth teasing way he always did when talking to her. “What a surprise. Here on your own free will or have my parents summoned your presence? Or better yet, have they finally found those dirty images to blackmail you?” He hadn’t seen her in over a week, and how quickly he went back to the teasing prick was quite brilliant.
