“I’m feeling more than just your heartbeat,” JD said cheeky as ever when she pressed his hand to her chest. He pressed a quick kiss to her lips before glancing over his shoulder, “Figured. None of the jocks in this town has the balls to actually go through with their threats,” he scoffed, “Which in this case is a good thing-” he added considering she was the only one around here he cared for.

“A lot better now,” JD smiled into her neck as he hugged her back, almost lifting her feet off the ground in his relief to see his girl again. He had been more or less forced to visit some of his father’s family many states away after his death, but he had made it clear to them that he had no wish to stay there. He was old enough to handle himself and he certainly didn’t want to live with someone who was basically strangers.
“They wont want me to move to them anytime soon,” he murmured and turned his head a little to look at her without breaking their embrace too much, “I missed you.”

JD didn’t even notice Veronica as he crossed the street on red light. It was dark out and the only other people out in town right now were either kids heading to parties or the rare passing car on the way home. He came to a stop just around the corner of a side street, needing to catch his breath and only then realized Veronica had followed him.
“Oh,” he smiled despite the cracked, bloody lip and nose, “Where’d you come from?” he asked, leaning forward to grab her hand and tug her into the alleyway with him. Clearly hiding from someone.

JD wrapped his arms around her waist and held her tight, “What happened?” he mumbled into her neck, sliding his hand up and down her back in a soothing manner.

“I’m more than good,” JD smiled against her belly button before pressing a kiss just below it,
“The more important question is if you’re feeling good?” he breathed lightly before playfully nipping on the skin stretched over her ribs. His hand being gentle as it brushed over her side and belly.

"I have my moments," JD grinned and wrapped an arm around her back while nuzzling her neck.
"Would you rather spend the evening with Kurt and Ram or dress in a colour that isn't black?" - veronica to jd

"I dress in other colors than black," JD frowned, "Though an evening making Kurt and Ram crap their pants would have been eventful. I would go with the first one. Is this another stupid survey you're doing?"

“There’s better ways to get my attention than sneaking up on me,” JD pointed out, “I could’ve hurt you,” he grumbled. For the lack of care he had for others, he’d rather not hurt the only one he actually did care for simply because she was being foolish.
