Do you think bryke killed off jet so he won’t get inbetween Kataang? If they can bring back haru in the season finally then why couldn’t they bring back jet?
I don’t think killing off Jet had anything to do with Kataang. His death is more about establishing the stakes of what’s going on in Ba Sing Se, as well as allowing him to go out as a hero. Haru and the other characters who got brought back in book three - including the other freedom fighters - don’t really do anything in the story besides filling out the number of familiar faces in the invading force during the eclipse, and I don’t think there was much they really could have done with Jet, either, at that point.
