It was.... a lot. This is all happening so fast. They’re in the middle of planning to go north on Vess’ behalf, and they’re still figuring out the Eyes of Nine business, and in the middle of all this Caleb is facing his literal inner demons - except they’re not even inner. They’re outer.
No wonder these people are barely holding it together. They go barely a week before dealing with another brain-breaking catastrophe.
Gotta give points to Matt, though - it’s like he had a list behind his desk labeled ‘Shit Abusers Say To You’ and he was just going down the line. It was dark and horrible, but in a REALLY good way.
I can’t wait for that to come to a head eventually... but hopefully not soon. Like Caleb, I feel apprehensive about their ability to kill Trent without more power on their side.
