I killed my family, I'll throw you under a bridge.
So I started writing this fic where Caleb talks to Beau about how he feels weird about his relationship with Nott now that Yeza is there, and specifically about how they've been like... sleeping close together for a while now as just like part of their routine, and obviously that's not a thing anymore now that Yeza is there and maybe he's a little jealous.
Just like... you know, implied widobrave. Thought Yeza would be a good vehicle for that.
And then today I started watching episode 68, and guess what happens in episode 68????
Sam’s flask bit in response to Jester saving Nott is just so cute.

I’m only halfway thru c2e68 but I’ve already gotten to the iconic Nott and Yasha “killed my whole family, throw you under a bridge” conversation AND Beau and Caleb having a heart to heart about Caleb’s feelings towards Nott ever since she reunited with Yeza….. This is a Very Good episode.
I know people love/focus on Nott spilling the beans to Yasha about Caleb’s past in Reflections, but I adore Beau and Caleb’s conversation during their watch. Caleb talking about how he feels uncertain and awkward now that Nott has found her family (more or less) and he is no longer sleeping with her and it’s thrown off his routine... (autism vibes) and then just how pained he looks when Beau tells him to basically remember the good ol’ days he had when it was just him and Nott.
Nott/Veth has pieces of her family at least safe and within reach. Caleb is floundering again now that his closest friend has other priorities besides him. He pretty quickly is falling from his initial optimism/cheer post handing over the beacon (for a lot of reasons, but damn if I don’t sympathize with the fact that he’s feeling so uncertain with the chaos and uncertainty that’s been slowly building since they started following Obann)
Liam’s face journey when Nott let slip to Yasha about Caleb killing his family is everything to me
Nott “they are all shifty, Caleb killed his whole family..”
A moment later
Yasha “what do you mean Caleb kill his whole family?”
Nott “it’s a figure of speech”
