The Littledragon family is playing a Creation to Future challenge, created by joandsarah77. You can find at least some of the rules here. Because I don’t want to have a whole new hood just for this one challenge, the premise is that this is a hit sitcom, with each chapter being a new episode. The story is therefore written as like an 80′s sitcom as I can manage, albeit without a laugh track. I can’t be bothered to remember the character’s names, so it’s written with the actors’ names instead.
Before I started writing, I read a couple of articles about the types of sitcom characters. One article listed them as: the [Lustful] one, the Crabby Old Fart, the Servant, the Idiot, the Fish Out of Water, and the Straight Man. The other listed them as: the Wisecracker, the Bully, the Square, the Dork, the Goofball, the Charmer, the Stick, the Sage, the Bigmouth, and the Precocious.
Bryan is the Idiot/Goofball character, although the actual sim is perfectly functional. He is not, in fact, a vampire -- he’s just cold. Bella, Bryan’s wife, is the Straight Man/Square, although I can easily see her becoming the Sage as she ages.
Clarence, I think, will become the Lustful/Charmer type. Clorinda is currently filling the Precocious role, but I’m not sure how much longer she can pull that off. Claude is certainly little enough to take over as the Precocious one, but as soon as I refreshed my memory to post this, I said to myself “Oh, Claude is the Stick.” So we’ll see how that pans out.
