It was only when Nathan got up to the door of the Teal Pumpkin Cafe that he realized they were closing in five minutes. He started to walk away, but realizing that Waves was likely in there, he wanted to see them again and decided to take a chance, pushing open the door and smiling when he saw them. He put his hand up to wave at them and after a beat of hesitation, grabbed the marker board and the marker and began writing. ‘Hey Waves. Remember me?’ and ‘Sorry, I know you’re closing. I wanted to say hi to you. :)’ He showed them the marker board and gave a soft smirk.

“We need to watch a Christmas movie!” Nicole excitedly exclaimed, walking back into the living room with two full cups of hot chocolate. Handing one to Waverly she nudged her dog off the couch, now taking up the spot next to her girlfriend.

Nicole wasn’t really sure if she should consider this their first date or second? The first time they met actually ended up turning into something similar to a date so maybe this would indeed be their second? She wasn’t sure but she was sure of this place. When Waverly had proposed her picking something she was ready. It was something different. Something Nicole and maybe Waverly had never done before but it was something she was hoping they would end up having fun doing together. She made sure it was away from Purgatory, away from their school, their friends, her family. A place where they could open up and be free in front of each other. It was a Karaoke bar. Yeah, Waverly wouldn’t be able to drink, but they didn’t need to do that to enjoy themselves. “I hope you like it,” Nicole spoke up as they entered the bar and made their way toward the back where there was a stage with a mic and some tables with a few patrons seated. “It was the first thing that came to mind. I am a terrible singer, but I always have so much fun at these kinds of places. Either just watching other people or getting up there and making a fool of myself.”
