(Adalwolfa) Please, I saw you kissing that person. You'll do just fine without my company for ...however long... I'm sure.
“What? I -- what did I literally just tell you? It wasn’t me!” Sammy paused, wide eyed, and shook her head. “Well, it was. One of my duplicates. So kind of me but not me, y’know? She went rogue, I couldn’t control her! Just because she kissed Kaden doesn’t mean I wanted to.” She decided to leave out the part where she didn’t exactly mind the kiss, once the memory of it pinged back into her brain when her duplicate rejoined the rest of her, for her own safety. “You can’t punish me for something I didn’t actually do.” Sammy suspected Adalwolfa wasn’t really listening to her that point -- the woman had made up her mind, and she wasn’t going to be able to change it. The expression she’d been using to plead with moments earlier hardened into a frown, and the corners of her mouth twisted downwards as she folded her arms. “Okay. I will do just fine without your company. What does it matter to me? I’ll tell you what it matters, it -- it doesn’t! Maybe I’ll just go find Kaden and see if she wants to kiss me instead. Me! Not a duplicate, like it was the first time!” The more childish side of Sammy wanted to stomp her feet and stick her tongue out at Adalwolfa, but she held that urge in and instead turned on her heel to walk away, sadness already beginning to bloom in the pit of her stomach.
