[MSG:] I just don’t want the kids to become attached to a dog that isn’t theirs. And then pester me for the next eight months for a dog for Christmas.

[TXT] (Grace) Did you hear? The gossip THIS week is that we’re dating! I love it. We practically are.

[MSG:] Wow.

[MSG:] I suppose rumours are inevitable when I come out of your apartment at 4am holding my bra and Zelda sees me.

[MSG:] Are we still meeting for lunch today?

[MSG:] Actually, never mind. I’ll have to spend some time with Alistair today or he might start thinking those rumours are true. Tomorrow we’ll have lunch.

“Then I suggest you get your money back.” Alice didn’t wait for Zelda to protest, just used her power to push the younger student down the aisle of her classroom and out the door. It slammed behind him with a loud bang, and Alice let out a long breath as she sat back down in her chair. Zelda was distracting enough at the best of times, but having a boy stood behind her applauding every time she so happened to write something down on paper or tell a joke had worn Alice’s patience thin. She might have given Zelda a detention, if she wasn’t so sure that the girl would likely return with someone else clapping behind her, and if she didn’t have so much to do after school. “For once can you just forget about your life’s mission to annoy me in every possible way and just... be quiet? For five minutes? Is that something you’re capable of or not?”
