Sweaty palms gripped the edge of the display case as Leo scanned the glistening diamonds in every cut, clarity, colour and carat possible. After years together, the time had come to start looking at engagement rings for his girlfriend. Something ‘pretty and sparkly’ was his only criteria. But looking at the selection, Leo was so far out of his element that he was actually afraid they’d kick him out for loitering if he didn’t start asking questions of coughing up cash soon.
Moving over to another case, he let out a deep sigh. “Do you know the difference between a radiant, princess and cushion cut?” He asked hopelessly. “Or do they look the same to you too.”
