It felt like there was nowhere he could go in the Tower to be completely free of everyone. On his breaks, he found himself spending more time walking around looking for a spot alone than he did actually sitting and being alone. He was getting more familiar with the Tower than ever before. On the opposite side of the large building from headquarters, he found himself walking down a half-lit hallway that seemed mostly quiet and let his curiosity get the better of him as he opened a closed door. It wasn’t until he stepped inside that the lights flicked on, revealing what looked like hundreds of old, outdated victor portraits leaning against walls or poking out of giant files. He’d barely taken a few steps when he saw a shadow start to blend with his. “What the fuck...” he muttered, music blasting so loud through his headphones he didn’t even realize the other person probably heard him.
