Nick had all the arrogance of a brattish child that had been given all the love and attention, never knowing of hardship, as he strolled up to Catherine with a shit eating grin on his face. He flopped down on the chair beside her and rest his elbow on the table, hand raising to cradle his chin as he merely grinned at her. “I knew it, I knew you loved me. You can’t deny it now, darling.”

Alexa had made up mind. She didn’t need to live in two different worlds or be two different Alexas. She needed to actually deal with who she was. Granted she hated it still, but she could hate what she was and not who she was. But she also still needed the learn things and learn how to embrace the side of herself that she’s been so afraid of embracing. So what she decided to do was go to the person that spoke about sort of freeing the beast. That was what had brought her to Catherine’s door and she knocked, surprisingly not even timidly or played a game of dingdong ditch. She actually stood her ground. When the door was open she smiled. “I want to free the beast.” Alexa laughed at herself. “That came out wrong. “I want to experience vampirism. So…will you help me?”

Zane was only doing this for the sake of charity. Normally he would be the last person to volunteer or participate in things, but here he was, doing both. He hadn’t met the woman that had gotten his basket. But he vowed to at least not be his grumpy self for a short time, or he was going to attempt not to be. He could turn on his charms just to make this date not horrible for her. She was the one that had spent her money on it after all. He mentally prepared himself to put the grumpster in him away. “Catherine?” he asked as he walked over to her. “Zane Hartman, I believe I have the pleasure of wining and dining you this evening. It’ll all take place at the Inn. If you’re ready, it’d be my pleasure to escort you over.” He outstretched his arm for her to take if she chose.

Since the night of the Gala, Levi had been off. His hands had finally stopped shaking but he still could not stop thinking about that night. He had done something he had promise himself he would never do, promise himself that he would never cross that line. That night played in his head over and over again, unable to think about it and the scary part was that he was missing the feeling. It reminded him of when he was growing up, being trained by his father and grandfather. He had the day off and had accepted her invite to one of her fundraiser. The doctor needed it and hopped that it could help clear his mind.

"Thanks again for the invite," he spoke with a smile on his face. "How are you doing?"
