She entered with a bang, the front door slamming behind her as she carried in two bags of ice cream and booze. Elodie, usually one to hide any unpleasant emotions, didn’t care enough to pretend she was okay. “Dottie,” she groaned, dropping the bags on the counter and pulling out a mug for her whisky. “I am so fucking done. Tell me I’m done with him. Tell me you’ll never let me go back.” Pouring the amber liquid into the mug she took a long swig, downing half of it.
