Roni had called Hale just to see if he was busy and if she could come over for a bit to talk. She tried to keep any emotion out of her voice but she was angry and sad and felt so damn mixed up. She knocked on his door waiting for him to answer and when he did all she did was walk into his arms. “I’m at a crossroads between crying and wanting to punch a tree right now. And I’m pretty sure I shouldn’t get in a fight with a tree right now because if I don’t win I’m going to get really pissed off. And we know I can’t win a fight with a tree.” @hale-hathnofury​

“Hale! I need your help.” She shook her head. “Sorry I didn’t mean to yell or sound frantic, but I’m freakin’ out. You’re a therapist, you can put me to sleep and hypnotize the Jackie outta me, right? Right? It works like that? ‘Cause...she won’t come out. Keanu had been slightly avoiding Hale. He’d not been sure how to break the news that he was going to be a big brother. Which that in and of itself seemed weird to say or think about. He’d been at Michaela’s a lot more as the house he was in the process of building was still under construction. Today he was back at the house. “Hey, Hale, I’ve got something I need to talk to you about and I think that it’s best that you sit. When you hear it.” @halekalua​

Natalia knocked on Hale’s office door. “Hey, you busy? I haven’t talked to you in a while and I kind of miss your sarcasm and your annoying ability to always know what to say even when I want to be doom and gloom about things. How are you?” @halekalua

It wasn’t usual for students to go out to the woods (or at least however much of a forest the old gates of Gallagher enclosed) during the day– it seemed like a much better place to escape at night, drink, smoke, do some mischief around. And even more unusual during the cold months. Sure, it wasn’t as cold as some places further north, but it was hard to stay outside with just the school blazer on. Sage didn’t think much of it. Sure, she was near freezing, but she needed some space, away from her sister, the classes, the stress and the secrets. She was skipping class, perhaps, had asked to be covered cause she felt ill, but she was only sick of feeling trapped. Sage pulled her legs closer to her chest, closed her eyes and tuned in with nature– or attempted to, when she heard a set of footsteps growing closer. She did not grow startled, not fearing if she could be in any trouble, so simply sighed out and opened her eyes.

“I assume I can’t call this my own safe haven, can I?” Her voice wasn’t accusatory, but almost as if she meant to start a conversation.       (( @halestxrm​ ))

Rick had become a master of avoidance. He had made sure that wherever his ex was he would not be. The man served as a reminder of a time when Rick was stupid, and let emotions rule over him. There was a first and last time for everything and it was safe to say he could say been there, wrote a ton of songs about that. Except, as he was looking over some pages, by sheer happenstance, he’d walked into the wrong office. He’d accidentally walked into Hale’s office. He looked up for a moment, stood there and then cleared his throat trying to change his voice. “Sorry, wrong office.” The man was blind anyway not like he could see him his retreat would be an easy one he thought. @halekalua

Keanu had been trying to figure out the best way to bring up the conversation he’d had with Kala to Hale. He wanted to ease him into it but there was no way to ease into that. So once he finished with dinner, he simply looked at his son. “So...I talked to your mother...she wanted me to relay a message to you and SJ, but I wanted to make sure you’re okay with hearing it? And I know this is probably a century too late, but I don’t want you and SJ to not know her at all, and I’ve been a very...shitty person in that respect, not telling you and I’m sorry.” @halekalua​

Roni was excited, more excited than she’d been in a long time. So excited that she had to check herself as she looked at herself in the mirror and saw that she was actually grinning from ear to ear. “Whoa bitch calm down. It’s just pizza and conversation.” She hated the fact that it hadn’t actually calmed her back to a level of chill. But she made sure to pick up all the toys that were strewn around her house. Made sure nothing could trip Hale up. She also made sure to do a light sprits of her favorite perfume, but not enough to overwhelm the senses. 

She made sure the pizza was still doing okay. There was salad. She had wine, juice, water, and beer as beverage options. Roni had probably anticipated everything and she had baked brownies, mainly for T earlier but two birds, one stone. Then she just waited for Hale to come over. When the knock sounded, rushed over to answer it. “Hi,” she said excitedly. “Wait that sounded way too excited, let me take it down a notch. Hey,” she laughed, rolling her eyes at herself. “Fuck it I’m going with my original greeting.” She stood on her toes, wrapping her arms around him, delivering him a breathtaking kiss. “That one was more me. Excuse my excitement I have only cooked for a two year old for quite some time now. I’m glad to actually be having an adult conversation. There’s only so many times I can have rousing discussions about Blue’s Clues.” And she might have been a little bit excited about who the company actually was. @halekalua
