[ normally, bailey wasn’t one to actively seek out help. in fact, he tended to let problems grow worse until either things ended or he was forced to get help. but yet here he was in front of harlem’s door, knocking tentatively. ]
[ he knew he should’ve changed the string on his guitar, but he was determined to get a song down on paper before he lost it. the string had been taut as of late, and bailey knew it was a sign he needed to restring the beloved guitar. so, when the string broke and smacked him across the face, he knew he deserved it. ]
