“Feel free to say no if you can’t but do you mind staying a little longer?” Vienna questioned as she shifted on the couch and pulled a blanket over herself. “I don’t feel like going to sleep just yet and really, I just like having you around.”

"You want to know a secret?" It was much too cold for any sane person to be outside but Vienna had insisted that she needed the fresh air and the walk. Besides, their getaway car was parked not too far behind them. With her hot chocolate in hand, they sat perched by the riverside surrounded by the snow and no one else. "This used to be my secret spot when we were younger. I used to sneak out, not for the purpose of sneaking out but to get away from all of the hustle and bustle my siblings created. And now, I've brought you here."

“You know, despite the fact that my legs feel like they are absolutely burning up right now I feel like the view makes everything all worth it.” Vienna mentioned, taking a moment to admire their surroundings before she laid out the picnic blanket on the ground.

“So, I feel like I owe you an apology.” Vienna spoke as she walked down the aisle of the church and towards Kavan once the crowd had emptied out. “I was rude to you the last time I saw you and I’m sorry about that.” And maybe the time before but they didn’t need to talk about that.

“So, I forgot to order my ticket to the church Christmas play this year before the deadline. What are the chances you might be able to pull some strings for me?”
