Charms had ended, and Ludovic bid goodbye to Davey Gudgeon, who he always sat next to during class. There were all sorts of folks around school that Ludovic liked to gossip with, but Davey was certainly one of his favorites. Today, like most days, the two boys only half paid attention to what it was that Professor Flitwick had to say. Instead, they exchanged various bits of information that might be of interest to the other. It was during today’s specific conversation that Ludovic heard something more interesting than the typical day-to-day news.
His classmate, Liliane, was someone that was not talked about very often, not in Ludo’s experience anyways. She had always been somewhat reserved, and he often got the feeling that she didn’t like him. His own fault, of course. She was really quite beautiful, and he often made sure to let her know. Anyways, her opinion of him hardly mattered. What did matter was what he had just been told. After saying goodbye to Davey, Ludo glanced around for Liliane. They had the next class together, as well, and now was as perfect of a time as any. He caught sight of her and wasted no time in trotting up to her side. “Hey, Liliane!” He greeted happily. “Guess what I heard about you?” He couldn’t help but get straight to the point.
