“Oi, if it isn’t my favorite bookworm- well, third favorite.” Beckett greeted as he came up behind Lorelei, having spotted her from across the market where a bloke was trying to convince him he needed more fresh veg in his life. “Your mum and auntie ply me endlessly with coffee and I must say that puts them in the lead. Sorry, love.” He explained with a playful smile, stepping up next to her now to look at whatever it was she had been contemplating. “I’ve thought about buying a few things here until I realized I would have to lug them all the way up the Strip to toss them in the boot of my car and I just don’t think I’m that motivated by fresh honey or veg.” Becks reasoned, chuckling lightly.

“I’m all run out,” Kyle said, laying on the ground, breathing heavy. “My legs actually hurt, that doesn’t happen often.”

“So Lady Forrester.” Alasdair spoke in an amused drawl peppered with genuine curiosity. “I’ve heard rumours that you have some remarkable skill with a blade. I’d be interested to see if you prove those stories right or wrong.” Being in the south meant that he was starved for good sport, and he was looking for anything to pique his interest.
