The wedding was in full swing and Bean had already been there for several hours. Originally he had been flanked by both Vinny and Marla, though the first had disappeared a while ago. Now Vinny had told him to stay put while he went to find a bathroom and grab another drink. That was twenty minutes ago however, and Bean was growing increasingly agitated. In general he guided himself around by taking in the scents and sounds around him. Sure he couldn’t pick a crack in the ground, or where a bench was, but he could side-step a person walking towards him by the sound of their footsteps.
The problem at the moment was there were so many - too many and keeping up with it all was starting to make him feel queasy and headachy. Something that wasn’t helped by the girl who stood talking to him and smelling of chocolate. Excusing himself hastily he stumbled through the crowd, his temples throbbing as he tried to navigated it. Until eventually he brushed against someone who was familiar enought to be able to point him in the direction of Marla.
Reaching out for her as he approached, he hoped he had got the right person, looking at them pleadingly. “Can you take me somewhere quieter? Please?”
