playing a dnd session in the morning, listening to your own dnd podcast in the afternoon, DMing a dnd session in the evening, and then jumping onto a VC to do a stupid high level combat with your +37 initiative character is something that can actually be SO the way i want to live my life forever--

this take gets to go here also. it’s fun and funky to have a cleric of a god of luck in DnD because DnD is a game of dice :]

#cer :handshake: elodie: being halfling clerics of avandra because it WORKS it just WORKS the narrative is So Good #however! u can't be a paladin of a god of luck (unless you're being really Funky with it) because paladins are Certainty :]#but clerics! clerics are Trust which means clerics are Luck because the game is DICE #in the narrative divine intervention is trust and Asking something to come through for you or however you want to flavor it #in the game it's. it's a bet on a d100.#it's Luck.#and so are So Many cleric features :]#preserve life and shared burden are like. the Main Exceptions i can think of #but like. turn/destroy undead. healing spells. divine intervention. it's CHANCE #you as a PLAYER are trusting the DICE #trusting that when you REALLY need them they'll come through for you #trusting them to make the Narrative Interesting #and MY insane cleric opinion that no one's required to agree with is that they're all about trust #trust in a deity trust in yourself trust in your friends trust in the universe--differs from cleric to cleric but! it's trust #so the synergy of a god of chance in a game of chance????#every cleric should be a cleric of avandra thank you for coming to my ted talk :]#cha:elodie #c:sof
