Breadmaking-viking reached the castle
Spade was the only one in today, with all the others out back in their other lives. The ones where they were actually named 'Jack' instead of after the Suits they represented. Why the hell anyone would want to be normal when they had this kind of life, he'd never know. Sure, all the fighting was a bummer, but they had all they'd ever want. Including electricity and normal-people stuff. But out there, past this world, no one knew them. No one appreciated them. Everyone went by simply, believing that fairy tales were exactly that - tales, stories to tell their children.
Well, Spade had met Snow White once, and she was definitely real.
The tall man was currently out in the fields, jotting down notes of their last adventure. Archiving was something he usually saved for Diamond, as the boy was much better with writing words than speaking them, but apparently the kid had some business to attend to.
That was alright with Spade jack, though - he enjoyed the days like this, with the silence (save for the birds chirping) that ran across the field along with a cool breeze.
Something was off, though - something didn't belong.
Spade stood himself up and glanced around, noticing a figure between the trees.
"♠'Allo!" He called, dropping his pencil to the ground beside the book and waving an arm through the air. "♠Are you lost?" He questioned, taking in the sight of the boy - he looked like he was from around here, but something was still.... off about him.
