My muse is stuck in a tree and implores yours to help them down.
“Uh… CT? CT, y’know it’d be great if you could help me.”
York sighed, clinging to the fairly high tree branch. Okay, so maybe it wasn’t that bad, but he wasn’t about to fucking jump to his death. York is not a cat. York will not land on his feet like it’s no big deal. He will probably break his leg.
So, he’s begging CT who seemed to be having fun just taking pictures of the soldier stuck in the green tree of death. If it weren’t for Wash, he wouldn’t be up there in the first place. That fucker shouldn’t have a cat. A cat that likes to climb trees.
"CT, please. You can laugh at me when I’m on the ground."
[So I've been musing a lot lately about D's relationships so I thought I'd share some of my thoughts on how he relates to them]
[adventures in multishipping]
[also disclaimer that these are my interpretations and my rp partners are free to disagree or add anything they want]
Rho [agentindieandrho/agent-rho]
Delta/Rho will always hold a special place in my heart, because it was the first ship I ever wrote with Delta and the only one I ever wrote with AI Delta. And as an AI, Delta was completely fascinated by her. She was his beautiful enigma, and there was very little he wanted more than just being near her and experiencing all the wonderful and strange things she offered.
As humans, Delta and Rho's relationship is a little different, and is the closest thing I have to what most people would consider a normal romantic relationship. Delta comes to it from a more complex place emotionally. He loves her, but less openly or passionately than she loves him, and he's very conscious of their differences and worries that he's being unfair to her. He worries that she'll leave him, or that she'll stay even if she's not as happy as she could be. He worries about doing something one or both of them will regret, so he doesn't take risks. He wants so badly to be the partner that she wants, that would be most compatible with her, that would make her as happy as she possibly could be, and doesn't really understand why she loves him, let alone why she stays with him.
We haven't RPed much post-project, but after all they got through apart when they get back together there's a combination of joy/relief at one good thing coming back to them, but also a lot of uncertainty because they're not really the same people they were.
Doc [omalleys-little-plaything]
I think this is the simplest of the ships I write with Delta. Both of them came into the relationship after a lot of pain, heartache, and uncertainty, and their relationship made them feel good and safe, and gave them someone to lean on when things weren't easy. There wasn't a lot of complicated romance, and at this point Delta had grown out of questioning himself the way he did in a lot of relationships that happened earlier in their timelines.
Digamma [honour-laden-code]
As most people in our skype group know, this ship is the root of all my pain.
In a lot of ways, this is the most compatible of the ships I write. Delta and Rho come from very different places emotionally, and while ultimately it's good for them, it isn't always easy. Delta and Doc have an easy relationship from that standpoint, but they both have a lot of demons in their pasts that keep things from ever going smoothly.
Delta and DG come to the relationship with similar energy levels. DG is a little more conscious of his emotions and generally seems to be more willing to take risks, while Delta says things the way they are and keeps them from hiding too much. Delta feels less pressured physically then he does with Rho, which makes him feel more secure in their relationship. Somehow having a relationship where things pretty much go right and both of the people in it are happy most of the time means it absolutely kills me emotionally.
We haven't really written post-project other than a drabble or two [and ooc plotting], but I imagine they would fall right back into the ease and sense of security they had when they were younger.
CT [agent-connecticut]
This is the least romantic of my ships, in a lot of ways. They have a very strong mutual understanding of each other, and they don't expect much. They enjoy each other's company and contact, though the extent of that is usually holding hands while they talk or laying against each other while they work or read. In a lot of ways it's skimming the line between a friendship and a romantic relationship, but from their perspectives it's very significant. I think each of them feels like the other is one of the few trustworthy, rational things is their life at the time, which makes it so, so painful when things go wrong in pretty much every version of everything ever. Case in point.
"Whoa, Connie-" He doesn't mean to stare like that, but the low back dress is-- wow. He clears his throat and looks away quickly. "Shit-- You uh-- you look good."
((Aaaaah I think York is great :’> He’s a big dork who’s all cool and laid-back and says dumb but funny things and he’s a cutie and I love York like he’s my baby boy (>`w`<) ))
9. What kinds of things do you like to roleplay the most?
((Is everything an answer? I want to say everything. Uuuum, AUs, I suppose? Those are always fun. There’s no specific kind I like, just any sort of AU))
10. Are there any special things you do to get inspiration for your muse? (I.E. music, re-watching episodes, reading fan fiction, playing games, etc etc. )
((Hmmmm, usually muse just strikes when muse strikes. …And other times he disappears for a little bit.))

7. What is the worst thing you’ve had to do?
"Wake up at the ass-crack of dawn for a few hour long session of training."
