The room was spinning. It was fucking spinning and Eggsy didn’t know how to make it stop. Sweat beaded down his brow as he could feel the pumping of his heart within his ribcage. It felt as though it was going to burst from his chest. His lungs felt tight, like the air was being snatched from his throat and he couldn’t breathe. He couldn’t breathe.
Harry was fucking gone — and he couldn’t breathe.
His knees gave out as he fell forward, the chair stopped his fall when his hands pressed against the back of it. Slowly closing his eyes, Eggsy took in a few shaky breaths and tried to think of something other than Harry being dead. As the young agent tried to regain his composure, he opened his eyes and glanced around the dark bedroom. Where the fuck was he? Oh—
Harry’s room.
Eggsy had been staying at Harry’s house since the accident, because that’s what it fucking was, an accident. Harry didn’t deserve to die, not like that - best agent in the world or not. Harry deserved so much more than what he got in the end. Reaching up, Eggsy pressed his hand to his face and rubbed his eyes while his hand slicked back to push his messy bedhead of hair out of his face. JB’s snoring from the foot of the bed comforted him even as the pig slept between the sleeping princess. Even though Eggsy was sleeping in Harry’s bed, keeping his mentor’s things in order, it was still a very cold place to live in, even though Tidle was with him- hell, he didn’t even know what he and the Princess were at this point. Yeah, he saved the world and they shagged and were technically living here, in Harry’s house together and fucking hell, he liked her a lot...
And then he noticed it; the robe. Harry’s red robe wrapped around his shoulders and kept him warm, it kept him sane on nights like these when he couldn’t sleep, when he couldn’t breathe.
Without Harry, Eggsy felt lost.
Lifting his arm to his nose, Eggsy closed his eyes and pressed the sleeve to his face. It still smelled like him, all of him. His Harry (who would and could never be his). And Eggsy couldn’t help but let out a few tears here in the privacy of his mentor’s bedroom - the man whom he found to love so easily even if he’d never get the chance to tell him.
