Also spent my bday checking out the books at Skylight! I have to applaud the chalk artist who did a wonderful job on the signs - they drew me in like bees to a flower! And yea, a tree grows in the middle of the store (it seems to be a happy tree)! When I took the second to last pic, I was reminded of @ladytp (moomin winter) as well as the motto of all fanfic writers/readers/artists - “Ship It” (and I add “Ship It Real Good”)
California
Park BBQ (Los Angeles, CA) - new year’s day early dinner (we got a bit of appetite after touring the beautiful floats in Pasadena). We got package 1, order of mushrooms/veggies (the pic shows us grilling the veggies which includes thin slices of king oyster mushrooms which were so delish), kimchi pancake, banchans (little pickled veggies) and spicy shrimp dumplings!
Xlb - soup dumplings at din tai fung (Xmas eve dinner). There were more but we ate like wild dogs!!!!
Some sights in Los Feliz, CA. Hopefully this will not be tagged as explicit as the middle pic has female presenting nipples...
We oft visit the graves of my grandma (my late da’s am) and my fave uncle (his youngest brother, the ut). I think my mum goes because of my da (he loved them so dearly).
The VN cemeteries in SoCal are festooned with plants, flowers, whirly birds, seasonal decorations (like Xmas trees, nativity scenes for Xmas and decorated eggs and bunnies for Easter). I thought this succulent (against the background of roses) was so pretty!
South Coast Botanic Garden, Palos Verdes, CA. Living wall was the highlight of the garden for me!
