BLOG#2 CAAMFest2017-GOOK //LUCY
Even though I was sick that day, the movie was still very touching to me.
It shows how stereotypes people have about others hindered people get alone with each other. In the movie, everyone besides the little girl all have the stereotype with Korean Americans. They think all Korean Americans in their neighborhood are bad, evil and selfish. Because the little girl doesn’t have any opinion about anyone before she really know them by herself.
I say, people have different stereotypes about different people. However, the reason why we are different is not because of our color, our gender etc. Even the person who from the same category is different from you, in that case we will find there is no problem. Then it might seem very weird to have stereotypes about other people. Also it is not right to judge them by the stereotypes we have about them.
I wish one day we look at each other. We won’t put tags on each other before we really start knowing each other.
