Hahaha...no.
I respect cab hailing etiquette. If you were waiting on the corner before I got there, the first cab that comes is yours. If you are standing on the south corner waiting for a cab heading downtown, I won't stand on the north corner and try to steal one from you. Bad manners. So when I've been standing on the corner of West 10th and Seventh, patiently waiting for a cab downtown, and a loud group of people comes and stands slightly north of me and accuses me of stealing THEIR cab when one pulls over two seconds later, I am really about the worst person they could have tried to start something with.
